2nd/3rd street smells like campfire / smoke - evening May 28th

I am on 2nd street...  this happens some times in the summer around here (people having bonfires in their back yards?)

Anyway - tonight it is really strong;I walked around at 9:30 p.m. wondering if maybe it was actually a big fire, but couldn't find the source...  It just smelled strong all the way up and down my street.
Anyone else notice it?
We have the windows open, and now our whole house smells like a camp fire - I hope whatever was/is burning wasn't toxic!

They are no longer considering a gas power plant in Etobicoke. They were considering a plant at Kipling station.

this seems to be an old article, I hope this is still the case, the article in the star is newer, but maybe they didnt do their homework on the details.
It would be worth watching though and asking Mark Grimes, maybe it can be part of his platform not to have it anywhere NW, W,of use considering the prevailing winds.

As fo Campbell's soup, the smell is not often, I would hate to live by the Humber bridge in the condo buildings in a NE wind from the waste treatment plant, we are lucky we only get a whiff of people roasting marshmallows and the odd pot.....good thing people dont have wood burning stoves.....
It happened again a couple of weeks ago. Some geniuses in the walk-ups near the bottom of 4th St (on the west side) decided to do their Davey Crockett impression and light a bonfire in their parking lot. I could see them tossing logs onto the fire.
Pretty sure I know what you are talking about, we had to keep the windows closed too. Seems like it stopped - I'm guessing someone spoke to those folks.
