I believe that the property was purchased by Humber College some time ago, so I would guess that they're the ones behind whatever's going on.

Any way you slice it, it'll be an improvement!

I have heard this is going to be some type of cooking school or Chef school belonging to Humber. I think ti will be a terrific addition.

I agree. It's a really interesting building. I would be a shame to have it sit vacant.

I have always thought it would be a great place for Humber to operate a working Restaurant and B&B, or conference space that is operated by students studying hospitality and restaurant services. George Brown did this with a Howard Johnson's in the East end.

I hope that's what they are doing.

I just know that Humber has purchased the corner plus the Medical Building beside it...I would imagine that the Medical Building will be used for office space but as for the former Almond Hotel/Chatters/whatever else it was called, I have no idea.

I heard the building on the corner will house Humber's new fashion school, which will be called the Fashion Institute.
