Lead Water Pipe Replacement

The City is currently replacing all of the lead water pipes on our street.  We were told that we were responsible for replacing the pipe on our property.  We received a quote from the contractor for $3200 to replace 15 feet of pipe and make the connection.Have other people received quotes?  How important is it to have the residential portion replaced?  We are not sure what to do.See More
