Turned on Member approval to mitigate Spam

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately because of the deluge of non-human members we have been getting on the site (pitching Pharmaceuticals etc.) we have turned on the setting that requires new members to get approved before they can post.

We would prefer to not have to approve new members, and we will make every attempt to approve membership requests as soon as possible.

Ning the host of this site is actively trying to combat Spam, but for now their recommendation is to… Continue

Rotary Club of Etobicoke promotes youth exchange program

The Rotary Club of Etobicoke is looking for an Etobicoke student who is interested in participating in a year-long youth exchange program for the academic year 2010-2011. At the same time, the Club will welcome a student from another country.

Each year, some 7,000 students, sponsored by Rotary Clubs around the world, travel to a different country to learn the language and the culture; they make new friends and form bonds with second families that last for years.

The Youth… Continue

Jay Jays / Klub Kave. The final post

Add your comments at the bottom of this post

Dear Resident.

This is the last update regarding the Licensing of the new Klub Kave strip club and Jaxx strip club at Lakeshore and Fourth.

After more than a year of concerted effort, to pursue this any further with the City will be an exercise in futility. As local residents, we cannot pursue this any further.

We have devoted significant time and effort to this issue but we are seemingly being stonewalled at… Continue

Klub Kave, Jaxx Liquor Licensing

The situation around the operations of these strip club continues to get more absurd.

In addition to Klub Kave apparently operating WITHOUT an AEP (Adult Entertainment Permit) license, we have additional details that indicate liquor license issues that should be investigated.

Liquor licensing is a provincial, not a city matter. To voice your concern, send an email to the ACGO at licensing@agco.on.ca and Laurel Broten (MPP) lbroten.mpp.co@liberal.ola.org

Urgent communication RE: Klub Kave Strip Club

We expect there is limited time for you to express your opinion about this . Please see the "what you can do" section at the bottom.

It appears the second strip club that has JUST OPENED at Lakeshore and Fourth is illegally operating without a license and a license application to the city may be forthcoming.

The owner could be pushing to have this NEW license application heard as soon as this Thursday October 22nd.

The owner of the Jay Jay's strip club at Lakeshore… Continue
