As we did last year, we will be featuring a number of talented performers for a free live show during Shop the Shore. The stage will be at the top of Seventh Street on the South Side of Lakeshore Boulevard (at Islington).
Below is a list of performers in the order they will be performing at the main stage between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. Most of the acts will also be busking along the Lakeshore during the day.
In addition to this lineup, the
George Kash band will be making its way up and down Lakeshore with its musical stylings.
The
featured video in the left column of the Home page shows a performance by Outrider and Alysha Brillinger at last year's Shop the Shore.
This year's Performers:
Dawn - French, Spanish, Celtic Folk Siren. Haunting, ancient, classical melodies, speaks to the soul, sensitive, delicate charm, bittersweet tang, very personal approach taking the audience from the sepia-toned parlour to the
ballroom.
The Inevitable Accident - Music for alternative Cougars, performed by Manthers.
Robert Davis - Robert Davis is a resident of Long Branch, an award-winning songwriter and performs his original comedy songs in his show, Acoustic Comedy. He also tours Ontario in the Robert Davis Kids Music and Comedy Show. Robert will be the Emcee for the Main stage.
Sessy - Sessy is a singer/song-writer/busker from Uxbridge, Ontario. Equipped with his guitar, he has hitch-hiked and busked all the way to St. John's and back. He plans to busk even farther afield. He plays a mix of upbeat familiar tunes and more obscure heart-wrenching songs.
Jef Kearns - Jef Kearns, soul flautist, is transforming the reputation of the instrument from band geek to urban chic through his signature flute sounds and urban sense of style.
Anthony Salvati - If you were to throw Elvis Presley and Lady Gaga in a rock and roll blender you would
get something like the Anthony Salvati rock star mix.
Outrider - Outrider is a guitar-based rock band that combines original songs with their re-workings of cover tunes (that range from classic rock to alternative) to captivate their audiences and provide an energizing balance between new and old.
