Raised Beds for your Backyard

Have a backyard? Like to garden and grow vegetables? Don't have time or energy to dig up the sod and make beds? Not sure about your soil quality? Want to have easy access and be able to garden with your children easily without any fuss?

I recently came across a family-run Toronto company, the Backyard Urban Farm Company, (located in the Roncesvalles area) that installs raised cedar beds. Here's an exerpt from their website:

The cheapest price for a 4x4 raised bed is $450, but there are a range of sizes and you can get a quote from them if you need it to fit your budget. The price includes soil, delivery and installation. They're wonderful people making a difference and getting us urban folk to get our hands dirty and grow veggies!
